iPad Rally Munich

In addition to the countless beer gardens, the city of Munich is also known worldwide for its impressive sights such as Marienplatz, St. Peter's Church and the English Garden.

But why does Karlsplatz have the name "Strachus" among the locals? Is it really true that a great fire in the opera was once extinguished only with beer? And which church was supposedly built with the help of the devil? Explore the city new with the iPad Rally Munich!

Munich offers so many exciting stories and details that cannot be found in any normal travel guide - this insider information is normally only told among locals! Get to know the city from a new perspective and take on funny tasks and exciting challenges. Whether you think you already know the city well or are here for the first time - the iPad Rally Munich will provide you with surprising background information that will certainly astound you and make you smile!

The participants are split into teams and equipped with iPads. After a short explanation by our guide about the procedure and the rules of the iPad Rally Munich, the digital tablet tour starts! The teams start in different directions and must solve tricky riddles and tasks along the way. Here, teamwork is required! After each challenge has been successfully completed, the iPad shows the way to the next task. The digital scavenger hunt is interactive, the participants can communicate with the guide and the other participants at any time - either forming alliances or playing pranks on each other. For example, the iPad screen of the opposing team can be temporarily "cracked". In addition, the participants can see live which team is currently in the lead. The tour takes place in the center of Munich – for example, the starting point could be the beautiful Marienplatz with the famous carillon and the end point the location for dinner. The duration, route and content of the challenges can also be individually adapted.

The interactive tablet tour leads past the most beautiful sights and informs the participants about interesting background knowledge of the different buildings. Munich is called the world capital of beer, but is it really true that the famous Hofbräuhaus has its own safe, where the beer mugs of the regular guests wait for their use? How much does it cost to buy a liter of beer on the famous Oktoberfest? The iPad Rally contains numerous questions that cover typical topics in Munich. In addition, the participants can master funny photo or video challenges. For example, at the Viktualienmarkt the participants must find certain spices or stands with which they can take a photo. Or they can search for the lion in the Feldherrnhalle on the famous Odeonsplatz, where they can touch his nose - did you know that this is supposed to bring luck?

Of course, the Eisbach wave should not be missed on the tour, where you can watch daring surfers on the standing wave, diving into the ice-cold water. The iPad Rally Munich can optionally be extended into the nearby English garden and contain additional challenges. Optionally and at an extra cost, a rickshaw ride, tasting stations such as beer tasting, nailing competitions and beer mug holding can be added to the tour. Additionally, actors can be installed to impressively recreate the most important actions in Munich's history.

Lastly, we will reveal the answer to a question in the beginning of the text. In the Kaufinger Straße there is an impressive church called Frauenkirche, where you can supposedly find the footprints of the devil. Since the construction of the church in the 15th century, people have told each other that the owner made a pact with the devil in order to have the church completed in time. In return, however, he was not allowed to install a single window in the entire church. He outwitted the devil cleverly. The devil stomped in anger - since then, you can have a look on the devil's footprint at the west portal of the church!

Try out the iPad Rally Munich by yourself to find out the rest of the answers and more exciting background information about the beer city!
